Saxophone player Jakub Dolezal is all around Prague music scene since 1999, when he came here to study at Jaroslav Jezek Conservatory. He gained reputation firstly as a member of acid jazz band Jan Kořínek and Groove, which also served as backing band for US blues singers on numerous concerts in Czech Republic, Poland, Romania or Austria. He also played with Zaha (supporting act for James Brown) . Janis Joplin Revival, Ruchadze Band or fusion group Bloody Mary. In 2002 he became a member of modern jazz quintet Work In Progress, since 2005 he's been a saxplayer for Ondrej Pivec Organic Quartet (a classic four-piece organ combo) and in 2006 he was asked to join ”world-fusion“ group Benedikta. Jakub currently appears also with Oldřich Bartas, Czech Pink Floyd Tribute Shows Pink Floyd and avantgard jazz bigband Bucinatores Tentet. He teaches the saxophone and jazz improvisation at Prague' s Jan Hanus ZUS and is available for private lessons as well.
